Anthony kept one hand on the steering wheel, sneaking a glance at Charlotte sitting next to him. His lips curled into a smile that was equal parts helpless and
affectionate. He didn’t say anything, just picked up his phone and forwarded a few photos of the homework to Andrew. The message was short and to the point. “Bring this back to me for review tomorrow morning.”
On the other end, Andrew was completely baffled. Seriously? Where did this come from?
“Feeling better now?” Anthony reached over and gently held Charlotte’s hand. His deep voice was warm, laced with a quiet laugh that made it obvious how much he doted on her.
Charlotte tilted her chin, her expression sincere. “I’d be even happier if you gave him another beating.”
“Okay.”
Anthony agreed without a second thought and Charlotte’s eyes softened, a small laugh shining through as she smiled.
The last three exams were all scheduled for the same day. Charlotte sipped her milk as she walked through the school gates and, just her luck, ran right into Andrew, who looked like he hadn’t slept in a week. The dark circles under his eyes almost made him look cute.
That sight instantly put Charlotte in a great mood.
Andrew spotted her from across the yard. He froze for a heartbeat, then rushed over and bowed deeply, looking completely defeated.
“Charlotte, I know I messed up. I swear I’ll never tattle to Anthony again. Please, just ask him to let me off the hook.”
“I don’t think he will,” Charlotte replied, taking another sip and blinking at him with innocent eyes.
“Why not?” Andrew still hadn’t caught up.
“Because I made him do homework all night. He’s still holding a grudge. There’s no way he’s going to let you off that easy.”
Charlotte finished her milk, glanced around for a trash can, didn’t see one, and just handed the empty carton to Andrew. She raised her brows, giving him a cheeky grin. “Throw this out for me, okay? Thanks.”
And then she just walked off toward the exam hall, leaving Andrew standing there in shock.
Did he hear that right? Did Charlotte just say she made Anthony do homework all night? Punished by Charlotte?
Wow. Anthony’s reputation as a “wife guy” was basically confirmed at this point.
Andrew just shook his head. Looked like he was the only guy in the Blair family who wasn’t completely under someone’s thumb.
When exams finished, school let out early that afternoon. As Charlotte was leaving campus, her phone rang. It was Adonis.
“Charlotte, someone’s come to throw money at you!”
His voice was so loud Charlotte winced and pressed her fingers to her forehead, clearly annoyed. “I’m not deaf, you know. Can you keep it down a little?”
“Sorry.” Adonis lowered his voice, but he still couldn’t hide his excitement. “There are two huge movies right now looking for a voice actress.”
“They’re big-budget projects, super strict about who they hire. After searching everywhere, guess who they came to?”
“A voice actress, huh?”
Charlotte’s eyebrows quirked up, a small smile tugging at her lips.
Oh right, she almost forgot her voice was actually worth something.
“Charlotte, don’t even think about it, just say yes!” Adonis sounded like he was practically seeing dollar signs. “With your status, just one of these movies would get you a seven-figure paycheck, at least.” ‘

Charlotte pressed her lips together, thinking it over for a moment before answering quietly. “Send me the details. I’m not taking anything
trashy, and I wont work on projects with actors who have a bad rep. That’s non-negotiable.”
“That’s fine!” Adonis didn’t hesitate and sent everything over right away. “And
remember, Charlotte, charge them a fortune!”
Charlotte scrolled through the files. Her eyes almost popped out of her head when she saw the words “bed scene.”
