“Mm.” Charlotte blinked and kept quiet, deciding to let Kenneth bask in his pride for a while.
A few minutes later, she pulled out two more sheets of music she’d scribbled down on her way over and set them on the table. “Kenneth, if you buy these two, I’ll throw in the first one for free.”
Kenneth’s agent couldn’t help but twitch at the corner of his mouth. He’d honestly thought Charlotte was here to do Kenneth a solid, but now it looked like she was just here to bleed him dry.
Kenneth looked surprised for a second, but he recovered fast. He didn’t ask any questions, just waved his agent over. “Bring me my wallet.”
Once he had it, Kenneth gazed at Charlotte with a soft, almost doting look. “How much for each one? I’ll buy them all.”
“I’ll give you a discount.” Charlotte held up one finger, her face all seriousness.
A hundred thousand? Getting one of Echo’s songs for that price was basically a steal.
“Lottie, even if we’re close, that’s way too cheap.” Kenneth frowned, sounding honestly troubled. “Ask for more. I can afford it.”
Charlotte’s eyes narrowed, and a hint of a smile played on her lips. She spoke slowly, each word clear. “Ten million per song.”
“Ten million?” Kenneth looked like he’d just been slapped.
“Twenty million for two. Plus the first one, free.” Charlotte’s eyes lit up, her tone sweet. “With these three songs, your album this year should easily sell over two hundred million.”
“Twenty million for two hundred million in sales. Pretty good deal, right?”
Kenneth just stared at her. His agent was speechless, too. No one knew if the album would really break two hundred million, but Charlotte definitely knew how to set a price.
“Alright, you got it.”
Kenneth never cared about spending twenty million, especially not for three songs. Honestly, if Lottie ever asked, he’d give her anything, no questions asked. Even two hundred million wouldn’t be too much.
“Thanks, Kenneth.” Charlotte didn’t hesitate, taking the credit card and tucking it into her bag. “You get back to work. I’m heading out.”
By the time Kenneth realized what had happened, Charlotte was already gone.
His agent couldn’t hold back a laugh. “Kenneth, you’re like a human ATM. No password, unlimited withdrawals.”
Kenneth grinned. “She’s the only princess in my family. Of course I’m going to spoil her.”
He handed the music to his agent and stretched. “Take this to the studio. They just hit the jackpot.”
A true masterpiece like this? Worth way more than two hundred million.

Walking out of Kenneth’s dr net
room, Charlotte made her way
toward
exit. She’d barely taken a
few steps when someone suddenly
barreled right into her.
Charlotte frowned, instinctively stepped aside, and caught the girl before she could fall.
When the girl was steady on her feet again, Charlotte slipped her hands back into her pockets and kept walking, her face unreadable.
“Emily, are you okay?”
An assistant rushed over, worry written all over her face.
Emily was still a bit rattled. She slowly raised her head, showing a delicate, porcelain face.
She took a moment to collect
herself, then glanced toward the doorway. Seeing the confident girl’s back retreating, Emily mumbled, “Did she just come out of Kenneth’s dressing room?”
The assistant glanced in the same direction. That was the only room over there.
“I think so,” she said, watching Emily’s reaction carefully. “She’s probably a staff member.”
Emily pressed her lips together and
said nothing. She’d caught a clear
look at the gifts face she was
gorgeous, with a presence that stood out in any crowd.
No way she was a regular staff member. If anything, she looked like a celebrity…
