Chapter 731
Letty’s eyebrows knitted together. She wasn’t in the bottom five. There was just no way she could actually make it to the finals, though. The screen started scrolling again, revealing the contestants who ranked six through ten. Now the names of everyone who’d been eliminated from sixth to fifteenth place were all up there, clear as day.
Still no sign of Charlotte’s name.
“How is that possible? Where’s Charlotte?” someone in the crowd whispered. The audience was getting restless, breaking into nervous chatter.
“The elimination list is out… does that mean Charlotte made it to the finals?”
Didn’t she just fill in answers at random? How could she possibly beat so many top medical students and get through to the finals? It just didn’t make any sense.
Letty was just as stunned as everyone else. She’d been so sure that Charlotte would land in the bottom ten, that there was absolutely no chance she’d get through. But now… Charlotte had actually made it. She’d finished her test in less than ten minutes, and her accuracy was that high?
Letty’s face turned pale. She glanced at Charlotte, her hands clenched tight. Even if Charlotte somehow made it to the finals, there was no way her score could be higher than mine. I’m not worried about her.
But just as Letty was feeling confident, the sound of the results being announced echoed through the hall, followed by a wave of shocked gasps. Letty looked up at the screen and froze.
The scores for all fifteen contestants were right there. Charlotte was at the very top, in first place—with a perfect score. Letty was second, with a ninety.
“How can that be?” Letty’s mind was spinning. She stared at the screen, half convinced she was seeing things.
Charlotte? A freshman, someone who’d just started college, had actually beat her and taken first place in the second round. And she’d done it in under ten minutes.
The murmurs in the audience were getting louder. “Charlotte actually beat Letty… this is incredible.”
“She got a perfect score in the first round, too, except it took her a while. Now she’s in the finals… is she secretly a genius?”
“I never expected anything from Charlotte. If she really beats Letty and wins the grand prize, that’ll be a total shock.”
Letty felt the blood in her veins go cold, her face drained of color.
“Congratulations to the five contestants who made it to the finals,” the host
announced, his voice ringing out. “The final round will be held tomorrow morning at nine.”
As soon as the announcement
ended, Charlotte pulled on her baseball cap and stood up to leave. Her gaze drifted across the crowd, and for a split second, she thought she saw someone who looked just like Anthony again Charlotte rubbed her brow, a wry little smile on her lips.
Not far away, Letty watched her, jealousy and frustration written all over her face.
She was not going to let Charlotte steal her spotlight. No way.

Back in the car, Charlotte leaned back and closed her eyes, exhausted Adonis was chattering nonstop beside her “Charlotte, we got a message from N. Organization They said tomorrow is your birthday and they’ve prepared a big surprise for you.”
A big surprise? Charlotte’s lips curled into a tired, amused smile.
“If they just stay out of trouble, that’s already a gift in itself.”
“That’s exactly what they said!” Jackson chimed in. “The Patriarch said this isn’t just any ordinary present. Youll be really surprised and happy when you get it
Not just any ordinary present? Charlotte pressed her lips together. She was curious
now. She’d just have to wait and see exactly how special this so-called gift would
be.
