“Not satisfied?”
Those three words “I’m not satisfied yet”-hit Olivia’s family like a poisoned whip, leaving invisible welts on their faces.
Steven stared at Charlotte, stunned. When he met her icy eyes, his heart skipped and then sank.
Her score was canceled. She’d been banned from the entire piano world. Was that not enough?
What else did Charlotte want? To leave them with nothing?
The crowd buzzed with murmurs as Charlotte stood tall, looking down at the family. A cold, mocking smile tugged at her lips.
“Let Vanguard High School know,” she said, her voice icy calm. “They need to focus more on Olivia’s character education.”
She didn’t stop there. “Inform Cabinda’s Piano Association. I want them to go through all of Olivia’s previous competitions. Check for plagiarism, cheating, anything at all. If she broke the rules, she pays. Whatever the punishment is, she deserves it.”
Olivia’s breath hitched. Her eyes widened with every word, turning red with panic and hopelessness.
She had used Charlotte’s music in past competitions too. If they found out, she wouldn’t just lose her awards. She’d have to pay back everything, maybe even
more.
“Charlotte, you wouldn’t dare!” Steven was shaking with rage. “If you ruin Olivia’s future and reputation, I swear, I won’t let you get away with it!”
He tried to keep going, voice rising, but Charlotte just leaned against the table, looking bored. She raised an eyebrow, completely unfazed.
“Put Olivia’s plagiarism on the front page of every major outlet,” she said, her tone casual but sharp. “Let it stay there for a week. Everyone deserves to know.”
Not just the school, but the whole world would hear. This wasn’t just about losing a trophy anymore. Olivia was about to lose her reputation, her future, everything she’d worked for.
Who would want to hire someone with a record like that? Even if she made it to college, what company would tr trust her? This wasn’t just the end other piano career it was the end of her future content

Laura nodded right away, taking the orders in stride. “Echo, I know exactly how to handle this,” she said, voice steady and respectful.
“You must be exhausted after all this. Why not rest in my room for a bit?”
Just then, Charlotte’s phone buzzed. She glanced at the message and the hardness
in her eyes softened. She just answered with a quiet, “Mm.”
But before she could leave, Steven blocked her way. His face twisted with angeras he growled, “Olivia made an honest mistake with the music. But you pretending to be Echo, you’re out to ruin her on purpose.”
“It’s obvious what’s going on! You rigged the results. You’re just jealous Olivia was going to win, so you set her up and slandered her!”
The crowd exploded in outrage.
“Is this guy for real? Olivia’s the one who messed up, but he’s blaming the victim… My God, what is wrong with his morals?”
“No surprise where Olivia gets it from. Thank goodness Echo grew up away from him.”
“No wonder Echo’s willing to cut ties with her own family. If I were her, I’d have done worse.”
Laura just stared at Steven, speechless. She turned to Charlotte, her tone respectful
as ever.
“Echo, every judge here—including me—can vouch for your identity. You don’t have to listen to him at all.”
Charlotte pressed her lips together, lowering her gaze. Her elegant fingers flew across her phone, her expression unreadable.
