Chapter 307
The bell rang and the last class ended. Andrew and Parrish made a beeline for Shirley, looking as sincere as they could manage.
“Shirley, let us copy your English homework, please?”
Shirley took her time, pulling out her notebook and hugging it protectively. She smiled, all sweetness. “If you copy my homework, you have to do two extra worksheets tonight.”
“Seriously? Are you even human?” Andrew reached out, trying to snatch the notebook, glaring at her. “Didn’t I buy you breakfast this morning?”
Shirley thought about it for a second, then relented. “Alright, just one worksheet then.”
“You-”
“If you keep whining, I’ll make it three.”
At that, Charlotte finally looked up from her desk, stretched, and gave Andrew a blank stare. Shirley was already swamped, but she still found time to tutor him, probably because she felt kind of guilty about taking Anthony’s favors.
“What are you looking at me for? Got something to say?”
No.” Andrew backed off immediately, grabbed the worksheet, and slunk back to his seat.
Shirley couldn’t help but laugh, covering her mouth. “Hey, Charlotte, your hand’s still hurt, right? I bet you didn’t finish the homework. Want me to help you out?”
“I did it.” Charlotte pulled a stack of papers from her bag and dropped them on her desk. She hadn’t just finished English-she’d done all her assignments. Every answer was correct too.
“Wait, what?” Shirley flipped through the homework, frowning. “Did you really do all this, Charlotte?” The handwriting looked off.
“Anthony did it.”
Andrew, who had just taken a sip of water, practically choked and spat it out. He stared at Charlotte, eyes wide. “What did you say?”
Anthony, doing homework for someone else? That was impossible to imagine Anthony, in his perfect suit, actually sitting down and doing high school assignments? The thought was so weird, Andrew slegs started to ache just thinking about it.
The upcoming exam on Tuesday was a nationwide test-super important. The results would pretty much predict how everyone would do on their college entrance exams So, everyone was cramming dike crazy, hoping to secure an early admission offer. Even Andrew was actually trying to study for once.
“Charlotte, aren’t you going to memorize the essay topics?” Shirley asked, glancing up from her notes. “The teacher said it hasn’t been on the test the last two years, so it’s definitely going to show up this time.”
“Really?” Charlotte glanced at Shirley’s pile of review books. “The essay topic will be different this year. You should focus on the new hot topic instead.” She tossed out the advice and walked away.
As Charlotte left, Shirley mumbled to herself, “Charlotte’s focus is totally different from what the teacher said.”
“So who do we trust?” Andrew asked.
“I’m listening to Charlotte.” Shirley immediately shoved the teacher’s materials aside and started underlining the points Charlotte mentioned, looking like a total fangirl. Charlotte’s advice always led to high scores.
The whole advanced class was in study mode, so the room was unusually quiet. Charlotte stepped out of the restroom and stood at the sink, washing her hands.
Just then, voices drifted over from the hallway.
“Olivia, the teacher said you did

on the last mock exam. You might make it into the top three this time Nancy clung to Olivia’s arm, showering her with compliments. “Honestly, with your grades, you could get first place.”
