Adonis couldn’t help but stare in amazement as they walked. “Charlotte actually
came in here by herself, trashed the Netherworld Casino, and walked away without a scratch. That’s wild.” Honestly, if it were him, he’d be lost before he even found the
bar.
Jackson didn’t say much, but the way he looked at Charlotte said it all. Pure admiration.
The three of them stepped into the main gaming floor, the real heart of the casino. This was where the action happened, where people came to chase thrills. Every corner was alive with the noise of games and laughter. Chips were stacked high on every table, a rainbow of cash just waiting for a winner.
Charlotte winced. The blend of smoke, alcohol, and nonstop chatter was already giving her a headache. She frowned and said, “Let’s get a private room.”
Jackson and Adonis exchanged a quick glance. A private room? Weren’t they supposed to be here searching for some kind of gas? How were they supposed to find anything if they locked themselves away?
Plus, getting a private room at Netherworld wasn’t easy. The entry fee was a million, and once you were in, you were automatically part of the next game. Three people to a room. No exceptions.
Still, they just nodded. “Okay.”
After they paid, Charlotte picked a seat facing away from the cameras and took a long look around the room.
“What would you like to play?” The dealer, a staff member from Netherworld, eyed Charlotte with a mix of curiosity and respect. She looked mysterious, hidden behind her mask and layers.
“Something simple,” Charlotte replied. She glanced at her phone and saw a new transfer from Anthony. Two hundred thousand, out of the blue. The corners of her eyes softened just a little. She sent the money straight to the casino’s account, showed her five million deposit, and said coolly, “I’ll take two hundred thousand in chips.”
A moment later, twenty chips, each worth ten thousand, were neatly set by her hand: Charlotte drummed her fingers on the table, her lips curling up into a small smile. “I’ll be the dealer. Five sets of dice, all rolled at once You can keep raising your bets until the dice are revealed. Starting at one hundred thousand. No upper limit.”
The other gamblers at the table stared. One hundred thousand per round, and no cap? Most people
played dice for small bets. It wet
faster than poker, sure, but this was a whole different level. This guy just walked in and wanted to be the dealer? He’d burn through his five million in an hour. He was definitely new to this.
“Alright, let’s go!” The three men were practically rubbing their hands together, ready to take him for everything he had.
The official dealer, though, raised a hand. “Sorry, I need to check with my manager first.” This newcomer was bold, trying to take over the table from the start.
“Go ahead.” Charlotte leaned back, her eyes cool above her mask. She wasn’t here
to play nice. Tonight, she wanted to bleed the Netherworld dry.
Meanwhile, the manager was with Anthony, giving him an update.
“He wants to be the dealer?” The manager was genuinely surprised. No one ever tried to take the house’s place.
Anthony listened through the speakerphone, a slow grin spreading across his face. “Turn on the camera.”
The monitor came on, showing the private room and its five occupants. The one in the corner was hard to see but with those two bodyguards, Anthony recognized the guest from earlier.
He lounged back on the sofa, his eyes glinting with mischief. “Turn on the intercom.
I want in on this game.”
He was curious. How long could someone who dared to challenge his casino really last?
