Olivia trailed after them, her eyes narrowing the moment she spotted the two men flanking Charlotte. Contempt flashed across her face.
They looked like trouble, the kind of guys you’d cross the street to avoid. Definitely not the type you’d expect Charlotte to be hanging around with.

“Charlotte.” Olivia’s voice was soft and shaky, and she balled her hands into fists, putting on that classic damsel-in-distress act as she hurried up to her. “You’re finally here. You’re the only one who can save the company.”

Charlotte’s eyebrows arched just a little, her eyes turning cool and sharp. She tossed Olivia a smile, but it was all for show, her eyes staying icy.
Before Charlotte could even open her mouth, Steven jumped in, not bothering to hide his impatience. “Charlotte, do you even realize how much chaos you’ve brought to the company? Do you know what you’ve done?”
Jackson and Adonis exchanged a glance. Their faces hardened, their eyes going cold as steel.

“Charlotte knows she was wrong, Dad. Please don’t be too hard on her.” Olivia stepped up, her voice gentle, acting like she was doing Charlotte a favor. “Right now, the most important thing is to fix the crisis.”
“Charlotte, the PR department has a plan. The best thing you can do is hold a press conference and admit your mistake.”
Olivia kept her gaze fixed on Charlotte, her smile painfully fake. “I think it’s a great idea. Don’t you?”
Charlotte just lounged back in her chair, one leg casually crossed over the other, swinging her foot with zero concern. A smirk tugged at her lips as she spoke, her tone lazy and dismissive. “Yeah, right. Like hell I will.”

He didn’t even have time to process it before a thick stack of documents landed on the table in front of him.
Papers spilled out, scattering across the desk. The one on top was impossible to miss. It read: “Last Will and Testament.”
