She was right. The International Medical Alliance was no joke. If you didn’t have real skills, you couldn’t even get through the door. She scrolled through them without much interest and opened up her social media.
She already had several unread messages.

Outside Cabinda University, a sleek black Bugatti Veyron was parked at the curb. Next to it stood a tall guy, cigarette between his fingers, phone in his hand, talking with a quiet smile on his lips.
“Yeah, I’ll sort out a gift on my end.”
The moment he spotted Charlotte, Anthony put out his cigarette without thinking and walked over. He took her hand and pulled her into his arms, pressing his forehead to hers while he finished his call.
“I want to make things official too, but He looked down at Charlotte, his smile helpless and warm. “That depends on Lottie, doesn’t it?”
Charlotte blinked. “Hmm?”
“She’s been busy. I’ll bring her home when she’s got some free time.”
He hung up, then gently brushed her cheek. His voice dropped lower. “Let’s get in the car.”
Charlotte nodded and slid into the passenger seat. As she settled in she remembered what he’d said about a gift and couldn’t help but ask, “Did Grandpa send you an invite to his birthday banquet?”
“He did.”
Anthony got in beside her and rested his chin lightly on her shoulder, a small grin on
his lips. “What’s wrong? Don’t want me there?”
“It’s not that.” His deep, rough voice
sent a shiver down her spine. She looked back at him, smiling with her eyes Do you really think
announcing our relationship at
